Unprotective Gold Mirrors
Unprotective gold mirrors are mirrors in which gold (Au) is coated directly on the surface of a substrate (e.g., glass, metal, or crystal) without covering it with a protective layer. Due to the excellent chemical stability and high infrared reflectivity of Au itself, such mirrors have advantages in some special applications, but there are some limitations.
